Life as a Buddhist Cripple

I'm sorry...

I've been terribly remiss and not updated for ages.
I've been pretty bad though, and I've only really wanted to respond to other stuff, rather than write my own.
I was also pretty ill and spent an evening in casualty, and have yet another medical disorder to add to the pile.

I'm not doing too badly though; in order to distract myself from my problems, I'm doing NaNoWriMo again this year.
The target: 50,000 words in one month. (see http://www.nanowrimo.org for more details.

I did it last year, despite being in and out of hospital when they thought I had Hodgkins.

This year I'm not that ill, though the other conditions are much worse.

I'm lagging behind though; I'm not really getting into much of a flow, so I've been trying to do that and not write anything else.

So yeah... I'm alive and such.
Thank you all for the comments asking how I am and where I am.
It really does mean a lot to me.

I just came across your blog and wanted to drop you a note telling you how impressed I was with the information you have posted here.
I also have a web site & blog about portable wheelchair ramps so I know what I'm talking about when I say your site is top-notch! Keep up the great work!

Hi Nicola,

I'm hopeless at remembering where and what I've posted. I was relieved to see your post on Ouch, but gutted for you (in a way) that you have yet more to contend with....Oh, I am so rubbish at choosing the right words to say what I mean just now. Sometimes it is so hard to say what I want to say, you know?

Anyway, was it you who was interested in doing the wheelchair spokes decoration thingy (see how my words flow?) Any progress?

Hiya!

At least they know I have another problem, rather than me just ending up having nights of horrible pain every now and then and not knowing why.

And yes, it was me who wants to do wheelchair spoke guard art!
I've not tried anything yet as I can't afford to get some clear spoke guards.
One day though, one day!

Yeah, knowing what's going on always makes a big difference, I find that, anyway. Now that you know what's causing the pain, will you be able to get pain relief for it?

Hi Jacqui!

Hopefully I should get some pain relief for it. I'm not entirely sure though. I need to be referred to a gastroenterologist to get it all investigated.

And with the NHS being the way it is, that will probably take another year or so!
